About Me
Hello! I joined CVHS in 2016, after teaching at a middle school in Evergreen in the fall of 2015. Previously, I lived in Florida for 13 years. There, I attended the University of Florida for my undergraduate years, as well as law school.
After law school, I practiced law for five years, as both a prosecutor and a civil litigator. I grew up all over the country, and overseas, as part of an Army family. In addition to Florida and Colorado, I've lived in Australia, Kansas, Alaska, Oklahoma, Virginia, California, Germany, and Belgium.
I'm an unashamed political junkie, and also enjoy lifting and fitness, reading books (especially American history), guitar, film, and the (more than) occasional PS4 game. I really like video games. A lot.
I've been married to Mrs. Combest, also a teacher here at CVHS, for nine years, and we have one son, Abner, and one dog-son, Buck.
